Terry Hardy proudly showing part of the display

to Revd. Gaynor Burrett

What a treat was in store for well over a hundred people who visited St. James on Easter Monday afternoon. Terry Hardy had mounted a fabulous display depicting many aspects of the church building, its history & unique features.

It was clear Terry had invested so much time to bring the project to life. George Pitman was absolutely right about the excellence of the photographs.

If you were not able to attend on the day, you now have the opportunity to view the display - simply watch the slideshow presentation or download in pdf format to appreciate Terry’s images in greater depth.

PURBECK CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL
AT ST. JAMES’ CHURCH, KINGSTON
Friday 2 - Sunday 4 December

Following the increasingly popular Christmas Tree Festivals of East and North Dorset, we hope to fill St James’ Church, Kingston, with many decorated Christmas trees, displayed by organisations, businesses, groups or individuals from the local Purbeck villages.
Admission to the Festival is free but donations towards Julia’s House Charity and Church upkeep would be appreciated. Seasonal refreshments will also be available.
Please encourage friends and neighbours to also join in the fun.
Judy Forgan, Kingston PCC
Kingston PCC are keen to welcome organisations, businesses, groups or individuals to sponsor a tree so as to provide an amazing display for visitors from the whole of South Dorset to enjoy.
You can sponsor a 4ft 6in to 5ft tree for £15 or a 6ft to 7ft tree for £25 - and the tree will be yours to take away after the festival. However, you’ll need to act fast as sponsorship forms and cheques need to be posted by Wednesday 16 November.
